How to enable sound from the remote computer

NOTE: The sound quality using this method is not the best, so we don't recommend using it for anything important, and it should not be used for any kind of meeting or videoconferencing.

Windows

  1. Click the Microphone icon in the top bar.
  2. To hear the sound from your remote computer, select Speakers in the Select Mode window.
  3. In the Speakers window, ensure the volume is turned up and the correct output selected (if you have multiple - e.g. desk speakers and a headset).

macOS & Mac OS X

For the host client on a Mac machine, the Sound menu has the following features:

  • Select Mode
    • Silent – Do not capture any sound.
    • Speakers – Capture the sound that is played through the speakers of the machine.
    • Host Mic – Listen to the microphone of the host.
    • All Mics – Listen to all microphones; useful for conferencing.
  • Select Microphone – Choose a specific microphone to use during the session.
  • Select Speakers – Select the device to output the sound to during the session.
  • Mute Microphone – Turn off your microphone.
  • Set Speakers Volume – Adjust the volume for your speakers

Linux

For the host client on a Linux machine, the Sound menu has the following features:

  • Select Mode
